Week Six sees some big performances

WEEK SIX SEES SOME BIG PERFORMANCES

Week Six is the halfway point of the high school football season and there were several prospects in Texas that had big performances. Here’s how players from all over the state fared. On Thursday, Frisco Reedy beat Frisco Wakeland 35-28. Junior Josh Foskey was 20-33 passing for 275 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 53 yards and a score on nine carries. In the loss, Arizona commit Tre Adams caught nine passes for 117 yards. Arlington Bowie defeated Arlington Sam Houston 28-7. Junior Ty DeArman was 2-2 passing for 30 yards, ran for 26 yards and a touchdown on seven carries and caught six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. DeSoto beat Irving MacArthur 40-12. Houston commit Kelan Walker ran for 23 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Junior La'Vontae Shenault caught three passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. ***Dallas Skyline defeated Lake Highlands 44-37. Four-star junior athlete Velton Gardner finished 20-28 passing for 312 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 204 yards and four scores on 25 carries. In the loss, Texas Tech commit Corey Fulcher ran for 68 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. He also caught 11 passes for 154 yards and a score. ***Allen shut out Plano West 59-0. Four-star junior Grant Tisdale was 13-19 passing for 159 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 48 yards on seven carries. Arizona State commit Brock Sturges ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Five-star junior Theo Wease caught nine passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Iowa State commit Carson Schleker added three receptions for 67 yards and a score. Langham Creek beat Cy Woods 31-24. Junior Chris Herron was 7-17 passing for 74 yards while running for 133 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Junior defensive back Corien Azema returned a fumble 59 yards for a touchdown. Cinco Ranch defeated Richmond Foster 36-6. Rice athlete commit Brant Kuithe ran for 129 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries. ***Deer Park defeated Pasadena Rayburn 51-19. In the loss, Baylor commit Stanley Hackett ran for 290 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. ***Fort Bend Marshall beat Fort Bend Willowridge 77-20. Texas Tech athlete commit Jabari James was 12-16 passing for 306 yards, five touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 55 yards and a score on eight carries. Sophomore Devon Achane had one carry for a 72-yard touchdown while catching three passes for 119 yards and two scores. Houston commit Henry Thomas caught three passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Fort Bend Travis defeated Fort Bend Dulles 41-14. Five-star junior Oregon commit Arjei Henderson caught five passes for 106 yards. He also had one carry for a 78-yard touchdown. Klein Collins beat Klein Oak 21-10. Four-star junior Isaiah Spiller ran for 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. He also caught two passes for 22 yards. On Friday, Denton Guyer defeated Denton Braswell 47-14. Four-star Oklahoma State commit Spencer Sanders was 10-16 passing for 154 yards, three touchdowns and an interception while running for 34 yards and a score on two carries. Chritauskie Dove caught four passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns while four-star Texas Tech commit Gabriel Douglas had one reception for a 21-yard score. Fort Worth All Saints beat Dallas Christian 47-10. Oklahoma commit Jaylon Robinson caught seven passes for 157 yards and a touchdown. Rice pledge Brendan Harmon had five receptions for 119 yards and four touchdowns. Arlington Oakridge defeated Fort Worth Country Day 28-21. Junior Carson Welch was 9-21 passing for 144 yards and a touchdown while also running for 137 yards and three scores on 24 carries. Baylor tight end commit Christoph Henle caught four passes for 80 yards. Dallas Bishop Dunne beat Fort Worth Nolan 34-12. Four-star junior athlete Marquez Beason was 7-12 passing for 100 yards and ran for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Junior Jabari Khepera caught three passes for 52 yards. Frisco Heritage defeated Frisco Independence 47-35. Tulane athlete commit Amare Jones finished 3-5 passing for 41 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 74 yards on eight carries. Carloss Crawford had five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown while tight end Nic McTear caught two passes for 26 yards and a score. ***Frisco Lone Star shut out Frisco 28-0. Illinois commit MJ Rivers was 18-26 passing for 325 yards and four touchdowns. Kirby Bennett ran for 34 yards on seven carries while junior Darrin Smith added 29 yards on eight carries. Kavika Pittman caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown. Saginaw Boswell edged Haslet Eaton 15-14. In the loss, four-star junior Titus Swen ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries. Plano Prestonwood beat Dallas Parish Episcopal 53-7. Wiley Green was 20-27 passing for 334 yards and four touchdowns. Duke commit Jeremiah Lewis caught three passes for 73 yards. Junior four-star Oklahoma tight end commit Austin Stogner added three receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown. Sachse defeated Garland Lakeview Centennial 49-19. Four-star Mississippi State commit Jalen Mayden was 5-11 passing for 25 yards and a touchdown while running for 151 yards and two scores on nine carries. Drue Jackson caught two passes for 17 yards. Little Elm edged The Colony 34-33. Corey Moses ran for 109 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries while Glenn Young added 87 yards and a score on 15 carries. Kevin Terry caught two passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Keller Fossil Ridge beat Abilene 28-3. Stefan Cobbs caught six passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Jaylen Hearst had six receptions for 95 yards and a score. Colleyville Heritage defeated Fort Worth Eastern Hills 52-6. Jagger LaRoe was 10-12 passing for 195 yards and three touchdowns. Ke'von Ahmad caught five passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Coppell beat Richardson Pearce 28-21. Memphis commit Brady McBride was 8-12 passing for 119 yards while running for 43 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Junior safety prospect Jonathan McGill ran for 114 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. In the loss, Dee Barlow caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Denton Guyer defeated Plano East 55-24. Sophomore Kaedric Cobbs ran for 183 yards and five touchdowns on 12 carries. In the loss, junior Braylon Henderson caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Arlington Martin shut out Fort Worth Paschal 76-0. Running back prospect Juma Otoviano was 3-3 passing for 58 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 61 yards and three scores on six carries. Tight end Brayden Willis caught one pass for 17 yards. ***Grapevine Faith shut out Dallas Gateway Charter 61-0. Sophomore Deuce Hogan finished 26-32 passing for 360 yards, six touchdowns and an interception. Junior Malik Caper caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Hebron beat Hurst Bell 56-17. Kansas commit Clayton Tune finished 11-13 passing for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 21 yards and a score on two carries. BYU commit Jaren Mitchell ran for 52 yards and a touchdown on two carries and also caught four passes for 85 yards. Four-star junior Oklahoma commit Trejan Bridges caught five passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns. Flower Mound Marcus defeated Lewisville 18-7. Junior Justin Dinka ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Longview beat Rockwall 31-21. In the loss, sophomore Jaxon Smith caught nine passes for 152 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Crayton added four receptions for 71 yards and a score. Mansfield defeated Arlington 31-13. Baylor commit Jackson Gleeson caught three passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. McKinney beat Plano 24-21. Matt Gadek ran for 208 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries. Troydell Griffin caught four passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. In the loss, junior Kyron Cumby ran for 30 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. He also caught four passes for 40 yards. Sophomore Cody Crist ran for 26 yards and a score on eight carries. Mesquite Horn defeated Tyler Lee 56-28. Junior Jermaine Givens finished 16-25 passing for 257 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 152 yards and three scores on 16 carries. Maureese Wren caught four passes for 36 yards. In the loss, Houston commit Chance Amie was 7-12 passing for 60 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 90 yards on 15 carries. Junior LaDarius Wickware ran for 135 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Dallas Jesuit beat Richardson 56-34. Sophomore EJ Smith ran for 166 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries. Rockwall-Heath defeated North Mesquite 35-28. Army commit Garrett Cody was 3-7 passing for 122 yards and a touchdown while running for 85 yards and two scores on nine carries. Arkansas cornerback commit Tanner McCalister ran for 108 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Euless Trinity edged Southlake Carroll 21-20. Courage Keihn ran for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 37 carries. In the loss, junior TJ McDaniel ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. ***TCA-Cedar Hill shut out Tyler Grace 60-0. Freshman Shedeur Sanders was 6-11 passing for 94 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Maurice Washington ran for 282 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Tyler John Tyler beat Mesquite 29-14. Junior Ke'Andre Street caught four passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Clear Creek defeated Clear Brook 55-42. In the loss, Texas A&M commit Caleb Chapman caught three passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Cy Ranch beat Cy Creek 17-13. In the loss, four-star Oregon commit Miles Battle caught four passes for 34 yards. Fort Bend Bush shut out Fort Bend Hightower 38-0. Four-star junior safety Jamal Morris returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown. Fort Bend Elkins defeated Galena Park 41-7. UNLV commit Patrick Ballard caught four passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Jailon Howard had two receptions for 32 yards while Vernon Harrell had two catches for 15 yards. Houston Heights beat Bellaire 31-12. Four-star Texas cornerback commit Jalen Green ran for 92 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries. He also caught one pass for a 34-yard score. North Shore defeated Houston C.E. King 45-28. Four-star sophomore Zachary Evans ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Kerrion Hadnot added 124 yards and two scores on 10 carries. Humble Summer Creek beat Baytown Sterling 26-24. Kansas State commit John Holcombe was 16-29 passing for 177 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 86 yards and a score on 17 carries. In the loss, junior Calvin Hill was 5-8 passing for 31 yards while running for 84 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. He also caught one pass for 31 yards. ***Crosby defeated Kingwood Park 63-45. Junior Jaiden Howard was 15-22 passing for 252 yards and a touchdown while running for 51 yards on eight carries. Baylor commit Craig Williams ran for 326 yards and seven touchdowns on 21 carries. Cedric Patterson caught eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an 11-yard touchdown run. Houston St. John’s beat Fort Bend Christian 35-3. Junior Genson Hooper-Price caught one pass for a 74-yard touchdown. Rosenberg Terry defeated Lamar Consolidated 26-20. In the loss, SMU commit William Brown was 9-23 passing for 121 yards and an interception. He also ran for 32 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Angleton shut out Victoria East 70-0. SMU commit TaMerik Williams ran for 164 yards and two touchdowns. ***Magnolia beat Tomball 56-49. Tulsa commit Reese Mason was 37-49 passing for 491 yards, six touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 64 yards and two scores on 21 carries. North Texas commit Anthony Johnson ran for 117 yards and 19 carries and also caught seven passes for 75 yards. SMU commit Michael Woods had 10 receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Katy Taylor defeated Katy Mayde Creek 42-28. Ean Beek ran for 366 yards and five touchdowns. Yoakum beat Edna 28-10. Texas A&M four-star safety commit Jordan Moore caught three passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. ***Cedar Ridge defeated Round Rock McNeil 66-13. Simi Bakare ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Baylor junior commit Jaylen Ellis caught seven passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns. He also had one carry for a 26-yard score. Austin Westlake beat Buda Hays 34-24. Wisconsin commit Nakia Watson ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. He also caught one pass for an 11-yard score. Georgetown defeated Georgetown East View 68-20. Caden Leggett caught five passes for 123 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 28 yards and a score on three carries. Hutto beat Elgin 56-14. Junior Chase Griffin finished 20-24 passing for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for nine yards and a score on six carries. Junior DJ Baptist four passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. San Marcos defeated Del Valle 31-15. Rice safety commit Prudy Calderon was 19-28 passing for 170 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while running for another 107 yards and two scores on 20 carries. In the loss, UTSA commit La'Thaniel Washington caught six passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. San Angelo Central beat Edna 38-20. Junior Maverick McIvor finished 20-30 passing for 322 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Tight end Henry Teeter caught four passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Carthage defeated Henderson 42-17. Four-star Texas commit Keaontay Ingram ran for 63 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Linebacker Mykel Gates returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown. The Woodlands beat Lufkin 45-21. Texas Tech commit KeSean Carter caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. El Paso Montwood defeated El Paso El Dorado 61-42. Andrew Fernandez threw for 338 yards and six touchdowns. He also ran for 82 yards. Tyreese Andrus caught nine passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. In the loss, San Diego State athlete commit Cedarious Barfield threw for 221 yards and a touchdown while running for 140 yards and four scores. Waco Midway beat Harker Heights 42-9. Oklahoma commit Tanner Mordecai was 13-22 passing for 256 yards and four touchdowns.
